No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at Old North!
On Sunday mornings, the Old North Church gathers to be renewed by the living God. We worship, we learn, we pray, we sing, and have fellowship together in the mystery and comfort of faith. There is church school for children (PK-6) during the program year, and professional childcare for infants and toddlers. After the 10:00 service, we enjoy a time of fellowship in our Parish Hall. You are invited to join us in all or some of these opportunities. Please know that children of all ages are free to take part in our church school, or be in worship with their parents—all are welcome!
When you walk through the doors on Sunday morning, you will be greeted by one or more of our members, or deacons. As you enter the sanctuary, you will be given a worship bulletin, and once seated there are red hymnals waiting for you. Our sanctuary is wheelchair accessible, and large-print bulletins are available.
Our 10:00 am liturgy includes space for silence, prayer, thoughtful preaching, hymns, and choral anthems and responses. Worship leadership is shared by the ministers, deacons, and musicians, including Maria van Kalken, Director of Music, the Senior Choir, Youth Choirs, and Bell Choir. What to wear? Wear what you want—there is no dress code! Most of us wear what is comfortable to us—but know that heels and ties are definitely optional!
