Item #L6: Spectacular Sunday Sail for Six on Valiant. Join Andrea and Gary Gregory on a mutually agreeable Sunday afternoon from 1-4 pm for a sail on Twelve meter, Valiant. Built according to the international Third Rule America’s Cup in May of 1970 under the design of Olin J. Stephens at Robert E. Derecktor Yacht Club, she is one of the heaviest Twelves ever built. Since 1989, Valiant has called Marblehead her home port. She has undergone several advanced modifications under the ownership of the Gregorys to improve her speed and symmetry. In addition to numerous regattas, Valiant has participated in thirteen Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Races. Donors: Gary and Andrea Gregory; Value $500.

Item #L7: A Scottish Sojourn in an Idyllic Two Cottage Property. Spend up to two weeks in 2020 nestled in the farmland of Angus. Late May through mid-September is the best time to visit. The two cottages can accommodate up to nine people. The cottages have two bathrooms, two kitchens, five bedrooms and heat in all rooms. Showers are in cast iron tubs so one must be able to step up into them! A car will be necessary. The property is located between the town of Brechin and Ezdell village with grocery stores approximately three miles away. The Cairngorms National Park is located just north and offers some of the most remote and beautiful walks and scenery in all of Europe. Famous castles close by are Glamis (setting of MacBeth), Dunnottar and Edzell. Visit the home of J. M. Barrie, creator of Peter Pan in the village of Kirriemuir. Historic St. Andrews town and beach is a great day trip where you can also find yummy Fish ‘n Chips. Aberdeen is 45 minutes by car; Edinburgh and Glasgow are a two-hour drive. All can also be reached easily by train. The Montrose rail station is six miles from the cottages. Dates to be mutually agreed upon. Here’s a review of the property from Judy Conner: “We enjoyed two weeks in the Scottish countryside in the homey two attached cottages outside of the small town of Edzell.
